Interior designer Brianne Wallace has extensive experience providing in-home services to families and corporations within the Portland area. A native of the Pacific Northwest, Brianne has also lived and worked in California and has spent a great deal of time in both Mexico and Ecuador, experiences which she says changed the way she views the world and the people around her. “Travel has not only increased my passion for other cultures and worldviews, but has also added dimension and interest to my designs.”

Brianne began her education at Simpson University in Redding, California where she graduated with honors, receiving her B.A. in Liberal Studies. Though her love of children initially drew her toward the education field, she realized that it was design that truly inspired and excited her. Encouraged by family and friends, she decided to pursue interior design professionally by enrolling in an advanced interior design program through Heritage School of Interior Design in Beaverton, Oregon. Her natural abilities, combined with the exceptional instruction and industry knowledge she received from Heritage has given her the experience and skills necessary to begin her career as an interior designer.

As an interior designer, Brianne’s greatest goal is to provide her clients with the confidence and knowledge to design and customize a space that reflects and inspires them, regardless of how much they are investing in the project. She believes there is an artist inside every person and she loves to watch as her clients realize it too! “A common misconception about interior design is that it is a field centered around furniture, rugs and paint. In reality, it is a profession focused on people and bringing their diverse visions to life, while meeting their unique needs. As a designer, I use color and texture, as well as space and proportion, to change lives. ” These beliefs are the basis for Brianne’s high standards of personalized service and desire to see her client’s personality and style reflected in the final design.

Brianne has enjoyed reaching out to the communities where she has lived, participating in such groups as Plus One Mentors, Awanas, and Girl Scouts, as well as tutoring programs and child care through her local church. After spending years in the child care industry, Brianne understands the challenges, and fun, of designing with children in mind. She is also a true dog lover, sharing her home with four dogs. Her recent travels abroad have given her an incredible respect for world cultures and a deep desire to continue to explore the world.

“People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed: never throw out anyone.” This quote from Audrey Hepburn seems to sum up Brianne’s philosophy of both life and design. “I am truly blessed to have a career in which I not only get to exercise my creative abilities, but am truly affecting the way people live, work, and play. I cannot imagine doing anything else!”
